# create Bitget API Keys

## How to create Bitget API Keys

1. Got to the API Management system: <https://www.bitget.com/en/account/newapi>
2. Click the "Create API Key"-Button

3. Set the right permissions: you only need to enable "Trade". Do NEVER enable withdraw or transfer. Never!

4. Enter Notes like "FuturesBot XYZ", enter your PAssphrase and DO NOT link IP address as you might not have a static one.&#x20;
5. Click "Next".&#x20;
6. Save the secret key and the API key.&#x20;
7. Done.
